WAKO Cadets & Juniors World Championships 2014

Preparations are underway for WAKO Cadets & Juniors World Championships 2014 that will take place at 105 Stadium in Rimini, Italy 6th – 14th of September 2014. 105 stadium is a very beautiful sports complex where WAKO Bestfighter World Cup is used to take place successfully on the previous years. The stadium is already arranged for WAKO Cadets & Juniors World Championships 2014. It is a big advantage that the event will be organized on those early weeks of September at a seaside place is that the whole town will be alive, since in the first weeks of September they are still on full holiday season. The weather in Rimini is still normally very nice on that period, and so all competitors, officials, fans and families will be able to spend a pleasant week not only in a sport-hall, but also in the town. Hopefully, everybody will be able to enjoy a summer situation, with umbrellas on the beach and shops open for all tourists.

Italy has a long time tradition in promoting international kickboxing events and, as usual, Italian Kickboxing Federation (FIKBMS) and its officials, in cooperation with the WAKO Organizing Committee as main promoters of the event, are doing their very best to offer a memorable event. Next World Championships will be entirely dedicated to beloved WAKO President, Ennio Falsoni, who wished so much the WAKO World Championships for Cadets & Juniors were taken in Italy once again, after the previous successful editions of the European Championships 2009 and the World Championships 2011 held in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD). Promoters are following his standards and lessons in the organization of such important international event, as WorldKickboxing.Net we are sure that you’ll have another great experience in Italy enjoying your time and  the Championships. 105 Stadium will be well equipped with 6 tatami and 2 rings and everything else necessary to have a very nice competition. As many of you already know, the sporthall has also large spaces for training and warming up. The sport hall is not very far away from Rimini downtown and CENTRO CONGRESSI SGR, that will be the Headquarters of the 2014 Cadet/Junior World Championships during the first 2 days (6-7/09) for registration, weigh in and medical control. All referee seminars and meetings also, included WAKO General Assembly, will take place over there on Monday 8th of September, 2014.

Information About Rimini, Italy:

Rimini, often referred to as the capital of Italian seaside tourism and nightlife, is one of Italy’s most popular beach resorts and one of the largest in Europe. It has 15km of fine sandy beach with top-rate bathing facilities. The seaside promenade is lined with restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs. The city itself has an interesting historic center, Roman ruins, and museums. Film director Federico Fellini was from Rimini. Rimini is on Italy’s east coast, about 200 miles south of Venice, on the Adriatic Sea. It’s in the Emilia Romagna region of northern Italy. Nearby locations include Ravenna, the city of mosaics, the republic of San Marino, and Le Marche region. Rimini is on Italy’s east coast rail line between Venice and Ancona. Trains go to Bologna and Milan. The station is between the beach and historic center. Buses go to Ravenna, Cesena, and local towns. Federico Fellini Airport is just outside town.

Driving can be difficult, especially in summer. Local buses run to the beach areas, train station, and historic center. The free blue line bus connects the disco area west of town to the main beach area. In summer, some buses run all night. Bicycling is a great option for getting around town and to the beaches, too. There are bike rentals around the beaches and some hotels offer free bicycles to guests. Rimini Terme is a thermal spa on the sea with treatment facilities, four heated salt water pools, and a wellness center. It’s set in a park with fitness trail, beach, and playground.

Rimini is considered by many to be the capital of Italian nightlife. The central beach front area, especially along Lungomare Augusto Murri and Viale Vespucci one block inland, is teeming with bars, pubs, night clubs, arcades, and restaurants, some open all night. Rock Island is near the Ferris wheel on a little point out in the sea. The big discos are generally in the hills west of town. Some of them offer shuttle service and the blue line free bus connects discos to the main beach area.
