WAKO Grand Prix 22nd Edition

22nd edition of WAKO Gand Prix (WGP) took place in São Paulo, Brazil on 27th of September 2014.Édipo Herbert, Bruno Gazani, Cesar Almeida and Felipe Micheletti are the new WAKO PRO Brazilian champions in Low Kicks at 66.800kg, 69.100 kg, 85 kg and 94.100 kg, respectively. The four exciting title bouts were held with an incredible audience in a full crowd gym that made the fights even more thrilling.

On the first title bout of the night, Édipo Hebert defeated Valmir Theiss in five well-controlled rounds and had an unanimous victory by points. On the second fight, Bruno Gazani and Wellington Tom made a memorable duel with a lot of intensity but with a knock down at the 2nd round, Gazani conquered the belt by unanimous decision.

At the 85kg title, Cesar Almeida defeated Francisco Araújo by KO at the final of the 2nd round after a powerful low kick. The final Brazilian champion was Felipe Micheletti, who defeated Wallyson Carvalho in a fight that started really even but after 3 rounds, Wallyson couldn´t return to the ring and Micheletti won by TKO.

The 22nd edition of the event had also Paulo Tebar (BRA) as winner of the 60kg GP after defeating Ignacio Caplonch (ARG) at the final by KO. In addition, at the end of the event, Alex Pereira (BRA) and Robert Thomas (CAN) made a Super Fight with victory by points of the Brazilian fighter.

The WGP #22 was supported by the Sports Office of Sao Paulo`s City Hall.
