WAKO Cadets & Juniors World Championships 2014 took place at 105 Stadium in Rimini, Italy 6th – 14th of September 2014. The evet brought2,500 participants including athletes, coaches, officials, managers and leaders from every corner of the world. 105 stadium, place of the event is a very beautiful sports complex where WAKO Bestfighter World Cup is used to take place successfully on the previous years. 105 Stadium was well equipped with 6 tatami and 2 rings and everything else necessary to have a very nice competition. As many of you already know, the sporthall has also large spaces for training and warming up. The sport hall is not very far away from Rimini downtown and CENTRO CONGRESSI SGR, that will be the Headquarters of the 2014 Cadet/Junior World Championships during the first 2 days (6-7/09) for registration, weigh in and medical control and this provided ease for thee participants. All referee seminars and meetings also, included WAKO General Assembly, took place over there on Monday 8th of September, 2014. Italy has a long time tradition in promoting international kickboxing events and, as usual, Italian Kickboxing Federation (FIKBMS) and its officials, in cooperation with the WAKO Organizing Committee as main promoters of the event, they did their very best to offer a memorable event. This World Championships were entirely dedicated to beloved WAKO President, Ennio Falsoni, who wished so much the WAKO World Championships for Cadets & Juniors were taken in Italy once again, after the previous successful editions of the European Championships 2009 and the World Championships 2011 held in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD). Promoters were following his standards and lessons in the organization of such important international event and as a result, it was a very successful event. The importance of the event was more than an ordinary World Championship since WAKO Board Meeting and WAKO Ordinary General Assembly were held during this event. Very important decisions were taken during the board meeting and ordinary general assembly. In Rimini, we experienced another great kickboxing event of WAKO, with huge amount of participants. Reşat Onur Er, is a law graduate from Turkey with LL.M degree. He is involved in kickboxing since 2012. He is Turkish Kickboxing Federation Chairman of Students Committee and Member of Committee on Foreign Relations, WAKO IF Member of Education/Students Committee WAKO European Kickboxing Federation Member of Students/Educational Committee and is founder of WorldKickboxing.Net. He is a licensed kickboxing athlete who has 7th Dan Dark Brown Belt. He has been working actively for development of kickboxing in Turkey and Africa. He works at Cape Town Iron and Steel Works as a Legal Assistant.
